Everyday cleaning of a carbon steel pan or wok is easy. Learn the exact way to clean your wok without soap or detergents.
When there are extreme conditions of carbon build- up in your pan or wok, there are 2 procedures that I use re- season a pan or wok.
The first method uses salt. First, heat up your pan or wok. Add cooking oil. Then cover surface with salt. Scrub carbon build- up with paper towel.
If a carbon pan or wok needs to be stripped down due to carbon build- up or uneven surface, then use the tomato and vinegar method. These 2 methods are not used very often but are extremely effective when needed. Check out my video to see how these 2 methods are used,
